About the Council
The Supreme Judicial Council is the government institution concerned with organizing and managing judicial affairs in the Sultanate of Oman, ensuring judicial independence and reinforcing the rule of law. It works to ensure the efficient functioning of the public prosecution courts, while fostering their continuous development. The Council was established as part of the efforts to enhance justice and implement the Basic Law of the State about the judiciary as an authority independent of other authorities.
