About the Ministry

The Ministry of Energy and Minerals is one of the most important pillars of the Omani economy in the Sultanate of Oman, as it seeks to achieve a balance between the utilization of natural resources to achieve economic growth and environmental sustainability. The ministry is concerned with promoting sustainable development by managing and regulating energy sources such as oil, gas and renewable energy. It also focuses on encouraging investment in these sectors, developing renewable energy, and reducing dependence on traditional energy sources in line with the global sectoral transformation trends.
